You have so much to give, yet feel a creative block. Your story needs to be told, your art needs to be expressed and you dance needs be released.
But, oh the walls appear to be so thick and high...
I love working with artists. (Yes, you. You are an artist!)
As an artist myself, I've been there. (and still go there) Feeling stuck, alone, questioning everything.
To help you find your spark again (it's still in there!) is why I do this work. Lit up artists light up the world and THAT IS WHAT IS NEEDED NOW! You are needed.
“Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.” ― Howard Thurman
Our work together takes place in my art studio, on walks and in quiet, or loud, conversation. It is a co-created, unique and creative meeting of our minds and hearts.
We create the time, space and environment that best suits your process. It may be a conversation over some good tea, or splattering paint around with some good music or more on the shamanic side, with sage burning and journal writing. But it will be hands-on, with movement, using your voice, embracing quiet, eyes closed, listening, breathing....because you contain all the answers.
This is all for you. You contain universes. You are your own guru, healer, teacher, mother. You are the one you've been waiting for. If you need permission, I will give you that. If you need structure, sacred space, accountability. I can offer that. You lead. I carry the baskets.
We walk together, through the smoke, through the rain, back home to your self, through yourself. However we need to get there. And you will. (hint: you're already there) You are closer than your think. Really, its not such a long way home. Just put your hand on your heart, and click your heels 3 times.
When we agree we are a good fit to do the work, we plan our time together with your 'blocks' as guidance, to be explored and gently shifted so you may do your work; what makes you come alive. Not psychotherapy, not art therapy, Not therapy.
It's creative exploration, led by you, witnessed and contained by the two of us. I use all my resources and experiences and baskets of tools, to clear a space for new perspectives and to open doors that may have been hidden.
A shift in perspective can set alight your fire within so you can own your creative source. So you can go forth and create your life, family, art, book, dance... we shall see what's in side you that needs releasing!
The world is waiting for you. It's been waiting. (and, She says it's OK to come out and play now, you've suffered enough, my dear)
Deeply immersed in creative work all my life, I have explored: Art, dance, bodywork, meditation, writing, and painting, singing, and just free styling it. (letting spirit move me) As a mother, I have all the experience of going into the fire of birthing and raising children. (still in it!) The emotional depths and heights, exhaustion and joy, losing and rediscovering myself. The urge to break free, process and continue creating. Mothering is pretty bad ass. And it can put you on your knees in a second. It is the sum of life, wrapped in a big, warm, wet blanket, leaking and heavy, sweet and sour...you moms get this, I know you do. (wink)
Losing my mother to cervical cancer when I was 22, was a journey that taught me many secrets of the dark night of the soul. The Mother archetype plays a role in every woman life, no matter her circumstances.
I have a strong foundation in Classical homeopathy, through a rigorous four-year program at the Institute of Classical Homeopathy in San Francisco. A lifer, I am continually expanded my education, knowledge and experience of the 'Tree of Life' and all it's branches and roots.
I began my formal training in the healing arts in 2001 with therapeutic bodywork. I ran a private practice in Maine before relocating to California in 2005. I grew up in the gardens and seasons of New England, studying herbs, ayurveda and food as medicine, and later became my mothers caretaker during her transition from body to spirit.
Mother of two boys, born at home and in birth center. They are unvaccinated and uncircumcised. I am an advocate for educating and empowering parents to know their rights and make informed decisions for their children. I am a certified CEASE therapist, FHCi supervisor (homeoprophylaxis) and birth doula. These may be useful tools, if needed, for new parents, or vaccine injured kids or for educating the immune system as a healthy alternative to conventional vaccines.
I am an artist, healer and gypsy at heart. I was born, raised and homeschooled in rural Maine, among granite quarries, on over 100 acres of some of the oldest land in North America. Our family were pyrotechnics, travelers and artists. My parents both passed away from cancer. All my stories help cultivate a sense of compassion and empathy for others. I see the world through the eyes of a student, always a beginner, open to listening, open to new ways of being.
